In its latest transparency report under the IT Rules, Twitter India stated that it received 1,455 grievances in total between July 26, 2021 and August 25, 2021.
Further, the company took actions on 519 URLs during this time period.
The new IT Rules, 2021, require Twitter to publish a monthly compliance report with information about complaints from users via the India grievance mechanism and action taken on them.
The report is also supposed to include information on the proactive monitoring efforts undertaken by Twitter under the IT Rules.
