Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) plans to combine its CDMA and GSM mobile services divisions.

It is believed that this restructuring may impact 15 per cent of TTSL?s employees, which include those eased out on the basis of non-performance. Also, CDMA employees will be impacted the most.

In an internal communication, the company defines a unified structure that combines GSM and CDMA technologies and which does away with all circles currently under four regional heads. The regional heads include Vineet Bhatia (West and Upper North) Mahesh Thampi (East and Uttar Pradesh), Yatish Mehrotra (South) and Ajit Chaturvedi (Delhi and Rajasthan).

Under the new structure, they will report to Deepak Gulati, executive president, mobility. These four regions will have 15 mobility business units between them, carved out by combining circles, roughly equivalent to a state.
