TTSL is planning to expand its network in West Bengal, double its presence in towns, and increase its switch capacity in Durgapur and Siliguri by investing Rs 1.4 billion this fiscal year. TTSL will increase its reach from 110 to 220 towns, starting with an entry into 30 new Category B towns in October 2006. The company is also planning to expand its retail presence in India from 2,700 to 3,500 outlets by March 2007 through a Rs 1 billion investment.

Of these outlets, 25 per cent would be established in rural areas.
