Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) has approached the Telecom Disputes Settlement Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT), accusing Reliance Infocomm of failing to provide interconnection in 12 circles for its mobile and fixed wireless phones. Currently, calls made by Tata Indicom subscribers to Reliance customers are being routed through BSNL’s network, thanks to an agreement between TTSL and BSNL. However, TTSL has to pay Re 0.19 extra as carriage charges for each call to BSNL. The circles where the Tatas have accused Reliance Infocomm of failing to provide interconnectivity are Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh (East and West), Bihar, Orissa, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Kolkata.
