
Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) in partnership with World Trade Center Bangalore, Cisco, ITI, and UTL, have tied-up to promote skills development for the telecom sector, taking forward their collective vision of imparting skills training to 80,000 youth across India over the next 18 months.
TSSC is an industry led body jointly promoted by The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), Indian Cellular Association (ICA), Telecom Centres of Excellence (TCOE) with Governing body Members including DEITY, IIM and NSDC. TSSC is mandated to facilitate training of 80,000 people and help infuse Rs. 80 Cores Government support for skilling in Telecom Domain under the recently launched National Skill Certification and Monetary (STAR) Scheme and is the implementing agency for STAR Scheme for the Telecom Sector. TSSC envisages to skill five million people by the year 2022.
