Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI) has signed an agreement with Advanced Television Systems Limited (ATSC) to make broadcast services available on mobile devices in India.
The agreement was signed on March 2, 2021.
This agreement will enable TSDSI to adopt ATSC standards, thereby promoting global harmonisation of digital broadcasting standards. Further, it enables mobile operators to consider ATSC 3.0 adopted standards-based broadcast technologies to supplement their LTE/5G telecom deployments.
