Truecaller has launched Secure Calls, a new feature under its Truecaller for Business platform, aimed at addressing the increasing threat of call spoofing. Expanding on its existing Verified Business solution, the new feature verifies every business-originated call in real-time to ensure authenticity.
Secure Calls employs a secure backend handshake mechanism to authenticate the caller’s identity at the time of the call. This ensures that the call is genuinely initiated by the business and not an impersonator. Once verified, the call is marked as a “Secure Call,” giving recipients clear assurance of its legitimacy.
Further, the enhanced transparency is expected to improve customer trust and reduce the risk of phone scams. Furthermore, NoBroker is among the early adopters of this feature, using it to strengthen customer protection in its communication processes.
