
A. Raja, former Minister of Telecommunications and IT, has said that he had followed the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India?s (TRAI) recommendations on 2G spectrum. He also asked the opposition for documents that would prove his role in the 2G spectrum issue.
Meanwhile, Raja’s lawyer also asked for a recording of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and the Home Minister P. Chidambaram’s statement under section 161. According to him, there was no difference of opinion between the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Prime Minister?s Office.
Also, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has asked a designated special court to impose the charge of breach of trust by public servants against Raja, his former private secretary R.K. Chandolia and former DoT secretary, Siddharth Behura in the 2G spectrum allocation case.
