The proposed meeting is crucial to the regulator as tele-marketers? routing of unsolicited messages through international web-servers defeat the purpose of restricting these messages through strict guidelines.
A message from a registered telemarketer carries a header such as ‘TM J_dial’. However, messages routed through international servers display a number beginning with the international code of the country from where they originate. These pose a serious challenge for telecom operators as they do not have the meachanism to identify these.
