TRAI plans to implement the CAC, giving users the freedom to choose their long distance service provider, after getting the government’s view on the OneIndia plan for telecom PSUs. The government is yet to take a final decision on it. TRAI has also finalised a consultation paper on the lifetime validity schemes being offered by various mobile service operators and is set to take a decision on it within a month.
