The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a shoe-cause notice to Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for alleged violation of mobile number portability (MNP) norms.

According to TRAI, BSNL failed to act on porting requests from consumers within the specified period of time, thereby delaying the activation of subscribers shifting to the operator’s network.

Meanwhile, TRAI has asked BSNL to submit the reasons for the delay in processing MNP requests from potential users and why no action should be taken against it.
