TRAI is planning to come out with a consultation paper on identification of locations for setting up towers, among other things.
The paper will also seek stakeholders’ opinion on the future projections of telecom tower requirements for better coverage. It will also highlight the issues of safe radiation from mobile towers and encourage alternative sources of energy for towers in order to reduce pollution.
