The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has extended the timeline for submission of written comments on its recently-floated consultation paper on “Auction of Spectrum in frequency bands identified for IMT/5G”, till January 10, 2022.
TRAI had released the consultation paper on November 30, 2021. The last date for receiving written comments on the issues raised in the consultation paper from the stakeholders was fixed as December 28, 2021 and for counter comments as January 11, 2022.
In response to the requests of stakeholders, the time for submission of written comments and counter comments have been extended up to January 10, 2022 and January 24, 2022 respectively. TRAI has also asserted that no further requests for extension would be considered.
