The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has extended the deadline for submission of counter comments on the issues raised in the consultation paper titled ‘Regulatory Mechanism for Over-The-Top (OTT) Communication Services, and Selective Banning of OTT Services’.
The consultation paper was released on July 7, 2023. Initially, the last date for receiving written comments on the issues raised in the consultation paper was fixed as August 4, 2023, and for counter comments as August 18, 2023.
However, on the request of stakeholders and industry associations, the last date for submission of written comments and counter comments was extended up to August 18, 2023, and September 1, 2023, respectively, and then subsequently extended to September 1, 2023, and September 15, 2023, respectively.
Now, keeping in view the request of stakeholders for further extension of time for submission of counter comments, the TRAI has decided to extend the last date for submission of written counter comments up to September 29, 2023.
