The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has extended the deadline for submission of written comments and counter comments for a recent consultation paper on satellite-based connectivity to April 23, 2021 and May 7, 2021, respectively.
In March 2021, TRAI had released the consultation paper on ‘Licensing Framework for Satellite based Connectivity for Low bit rate Applications’ and had invited comments on framework for both commercial as well as captive usage.
According to the regulator, the move has been taken upon industry request.
