The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has extended the timeline for submission of written comments on its recently floated consultation paper, “Ease of Doing Business in Telecom and Broadcasting Sector”, till January 19, 2022.
TRAI had released the consultation paper on December 8, 2021. The last date for receiving written comments on the issues raised in the consultation paper from the stakeholders was fixed as January 5, 2022 and for counter comments as January 19, 2022.
In response to the requests of industry associations and stakeholders, the last date for submission of written comments and counter comments have been extended up to January 19, 2022 and February 2, 2022 respectively. TRAI has also asserted that further requests for extension would not be considered.
