The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has extended the date for submitting comments on the consultation paper on “Issues related to implementation of digital addressable cable TV systems”. The paper was released on 22nd December 2011 and the comments from various industry stakeholders were solicited on different matters for a smooth transition to digital addressable system.
The stakeholders were expected to submit their written comments by 16 January 2012. However, following a request from them the date has now been extended to 30th January, 2012 for the receiving of written comments and upto 6th Feburary 2012, for counter comments.
In a similar development, the regulator has extended the date for receiving comments on the pre-consultation paper on ?Exit policy for various telecom licences?, from 16th January, 2012 to 24th January, 2012.
Stakeholders need to submit their comments before the dates preferably in electronic form to advmn@trai.gov.in.
