The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted a seminar on “5G use cases in healthcare sector” at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
Anil Kumar Lahoti, chairman, TRAI was the chief guest of the event, and he explained about the importance of 5G in education, healthcare sectors and the impact of digital innovation for sustainable development. He listed out the major accomplishments of the Indian telecom sector, and the importance of 5G use cases in virtual reality, smart ambulance, robotic surgeries etc.
In addition, Dr RV Kumar, director, and vice chancellor, SVIMS, explained about the importance of telecom technology used in clinical medicine, medical education and research.
