The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted its mandatory examination of the latest bout of industry-wide tariff hikes by Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi).
The three private sector telcos, Jio, Airtel and Vi had raised tariffs in the first week of July 2024.
As required by the Telecommunication Tariff Order (TTO) 1999, telecom operators reported their recent tariff hikes to the regulator within the mandated seven-day period. The regulator reviewed these submissions and found that the changes were neither discriminatory nor predatory.
