Timely resolution of AGR issue critical for clarity on decision-making and telcos’ annual audit, says COAI

As per the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), timely resolution of adjusted gross revenue (AGR) payment timeline is critical for telcos as it will offer them clarity on decision-making, future investment path and year-end audits.

The industry body further added that it will continue to engage with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on outstanding issues despite the disappointment on the recent budget not outlining any relief for the sector.

However, COAI added that the discussions will happen once there is clarity on the outcome of the modification petition on payment timelines for statutory dues.
