Tidal Wave and Consort Digital have completed a proof-of-concept (PoC) for 5G-driven mission-critical communications at the Amlohri Coal Mine, which is operated by Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL).
The pilot used the mission-critical communication X ONE (MCX ONE) platform, developed by Consort over a private 5G network provided by Tidal Wave, and integrated devices such as 5G drones, cameras, and environmental sensors from multiple vendors.
Further, mission-critical communications are essential systems used by public safety, military, and utility organisations that demand extremely high reliability and security. These systems are built to function under extreme conditions and maintain seamless connectivity even during disasters or periods of network congestion.
