The Vodafone Group has released its financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

In India, the company?s service revenue grew by 20 per cent, owing to an increase in their customer base, continued growth in incoming and outgoing voice minutes and 46.4 per cent growth in data revenue.

As of December 31, 2011 the operators? data customer base stood at 31.2 million. The effective rate per minute increased slightly compared to the second quarter of 2011, following the recent price rises.

As per the statement, following the launch of commercial 3G services in February 2011, the service was available to Vodafone customers in 683 towns and cities across 20 circles on December 31, 2011.
