The Unity consortium has launched a high capacity bandwidth sub-sea cable linking the west coast of the US with Japan. The cable is expected to provide faster communication between the two regions. The members of the consortium include Bharti Airtel, Global Transit, Google, KDDI Corporation, Pacnet and SingTel.
