The Telenor Group has placed the third round of investment of Rs 14.9 billion in Uninor, increasing its ownership by 11.1 per cent, taking its total stake to 60.11 per cent.

The Telenor Group has placed the third round of investment of Rs 14.9 billion in Uninor, increasing its ownership by 11.1 per cent, taking its total stake to 60.11 per cent. Prior to this, Telenor had made two transactions, investing a total of Rs 41.1 billion. The latest round of investment follows the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs’ approval in October 2009 allowing Uninor to increase its foreign shareholding to 74 per cent.
