The TDSAT has directed TRAI to review its policy of reducing interconnection charges (the fee one operator pays to another for connectivity) paid by operators stating that there was lack of transparency in the process. The decision comes on the heels of a petition filed by Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) challenging TRAI’s decision to reduce the interconnection charges.
