The Sahara Group has picked up an 11.7 per cent stake in Chennai based telecom company S Tel, which has licences to operate in six telecom circles.

The Sahara Group has picked up an 11.7 per cent stake in Chennaibased telecom company S Tel, which has licences to operate in six telecom circles. The deal is estimated to be worth around Rs 2.5 billion, if S Tel’s stake sale to Bahrain Telecommunications earlier this year is taken as the benchmark.
