The Ministry of Communications and IT has set up an internal panel to examine the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) proposals, including the levy of a one-time fee on 2G spectrum. The panel now needs to present its report to the Telecom Commission, the highest decision-making body within the ministry.
