The government has granted start-up GSM spectrum to new telecom operators in two circles, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

The new operators that have been issued spectrum are Unitech, Loop Telecom, Datacom and Swan Telecom. Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) has been given frequency under the dual-tech-nology option.
