N. Poonguzhali has been appointed as senior deputy director general (DDG) at the Telecom Enforcement Resource Monitoring (TERM) Cell, Tamil Nadu. The TERM Cell under DoT ensures that telecom service providers adhere to the rules and regulations stipulated by the central government. Prior to taking up the new role, she was chief general manager at BSNL, Tamil Nadu Circle. She is an Indian Telecommunications Service officer of the 1979 batch and has 36 years of experience at DoT and BSNL.
