Telkom Kenya has launched its range of mobile and broadband services under the Orange brand. With this, Telkom Kenya has become the country’s third mobile phone service provider after Safaricom and Zain. Orange is now banking on its superior network capability and $120 million network upgrade to beat rivals and reach its goal of 1.5 million subscribers within the first year of its launch. Orange’s broadband and mobile services have been initially made available in Nairobi and Mombasa and will cover all major cities and towns by the end of 2008.
