Norwegian telecom operator Telenor is likely to decrease its stake in Malaysia’s DiGi.com to below 50 per cent by end-2007. Telenor currently owns 61 per cent stake in the company.
The move is part of an agreement between Telenor and the Malaysian government, which had asked the former to bring down its stake in DiGi.com to 50 per cent in 2006, and had subsequently granted an extension till the end of 2007
