Norway-based Telenor Group has named Petter Furberg as the chief executive officer of Telenor Myanmar.
In his new role, Furberg will be responsible for the roll out of telecommunications network and services in Myanmar. He has been with Telenor Group for 14 years and over the years served in senior management positions such as chief financial officer and the chief marketing officer.
Prior to joining Telenor, Furberg held senior positions with the Norwegian Parliament and Norwegian Ministry of Finance.
Telenor Group has also appointed other members to the Telenor Myanmar?s executive management team. These appointments include Tipayarat Kaewsringarm as chief people officer, Lars Erik Tellmann as chief financial officer, Prathet Tankuranun as chief technology officer, Sharad Mehrotra as chief marketing officer and Gunnar Bertelsen as chief corporate affairs officer.
All the appointments will come into effect after being approved by the Myanmar government.
