Norwegian telecom firm Telenor has appointed Amol Phadke as its new chief technology officer (CTO) to strengthen its artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives.

Prior to joining Telenor, Phadke worked with British Telecom, Alcatel-Lucent, and Accenture’s network services unit, and most recently led Google Cloud’s telecom division.

According to Phadke, Telenor would use AI to boost productivity and enhance customer interactions.
