Telekom Malaysia will reportedly list its mobile phone operations separately in 2008 in what is expected to be one of Malaysia’s biggest IPOs. The move will unlock shareholder value in Telekom Malaysia’s mobile business, its fastest growing operations, estimated to be worth M$28 billion. The total market value of the company’s businesses is expected to rise from the current M$33.4 billion to M$40 billion. Its fixed line and broadband businesses, valued at M$12 billion, will remain publicly traded as Telekom Malaysia.
