
Telekom Malaysia has started selling off some of its foreign assets. The company has sold its 30 per cent stake in Ghana Telecommunications to the Ghanaian government. In return, it has received the full settlement that it was due as per the original terms and conditions of the transaction. The company has also sold its 60 per cent stake in Telekom Networks Malawi to MTL Mobile for $16 million. According to the company, the sales are part of a broader reorientation of its international investment strategy to focus on geographic regions closer to home.
