Telekom Austria reports increase in profits

Telekom Austria has reported a 53 per cent increase in its net profits during the period January-June 2006 as income from its newly acquired company, MobilTel, increased and subscriptions for its broadband service rose. The company’s net income surged to 2.33 billion euro due to a 15.9 per cent increase in sales.
