Telekom Austria has acquired Bulgarian operator Mobiltel. Telekom TAustria and a consortium of international financial investors have acquired 100 per cent of Mobiltel for $1.9 billion following the signing of a share purchase agreement on June 1, 2005.
Mobiltel will now be consolidated into Telekom Austria’s wireless segment from July 12, 2005.
