• The mobile subscriber base saw a growth of 0.7 per cent, from 1,142.93 million in December 2022 to 1,150.98 million users in October 2023. In addition, the number of fixed line subscribers increased from 27.45 million in December 2022 to 31.33 million in October 2023, marking a growth of 14.13 per cent.
  • Private players accounted for about 91.75 per cent of the total wireless market as of October 2023. Meanwhile, in the wireline segment, three public sector units (PSUs) – Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) and Andhra Pradesh State FiberNet Limited (APSFL) – together held a 29.02 per cent market share.
