As per the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) data, operators generated gross revenues of Rs 676.99 billion during the quarter ended March 2024. These included unified access service licence (UASL), unified licence (UL) and mobile + basic licence holders.

Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited reported the highest gross revenue of Rs 268.01 billion, followed by Bharti Airtel at Rs 235.22 billion, Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) at Rs 116.41 billion, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) at Rs 51.43 billion, and Tata Teleservices Limited at Rs 5.36 billion.

Circle-wise, Maharashtra reported the highest gross revenue at Rs 54.21 billion. This was followed by Delhi at Rs 53.35 billion, Uttar Pradesh East at Rs 51.91 billion, Andhra Pradesh at Rs 49.95 billion and Bihar at Rs 48.76 billion.

The least revenue generating telecom circles were the Northeast (Rs 3.76 billion), Himachal Pradesh (Rs 5.41 billion), Jammu & Kashmir (Rs 7.27 billion), Kolkata (Rs 14.57 billion) and Haryana (Rs 14.65 billion).
