As per TRAI’s data, companies operating in the national long distance (NLD) space generated total gross revenues of Rs 61.5 billion during the quarter ended June 2024.
At Rs 19.54 billion, Vi accounted for 31.77 per cent of the total industry NLD revenues. It was followed by Airtel (Rs 21.96 billion), Tata Communications (Rs 18.67 billion), BSNL (Rs 11.59 billion) and Reliance Jio (Rs 6.52 billion).
Meanwhile, companies operating in the international long distance (ILD) space generated total gross revenues of Rs 33.53 billion during the quarter under consideration.
Airtel recorded the highest gross revenue in the ILD segment at Rs 10.75 billion. It was followed by Vi (Rs 10.28 billion), Reliance Jio (Rs 5.65 billion), Tata Communications (Rs 2.18 billion), AT&T Global Network Services India Private Limited (Rs 1.5 billion) and Verizon Communications India Private Limited (Rs 1.36 billion).
