- As per the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) data, operators generated gross revenues of Rs 405.29 billion during the quarter ended June 2018. These included unified access service licence (UASL), unified licence, and mobile + basic licence holders.
- Bharti Airtel reported the highest gross revenue of Rs 126.26 billion, followed by Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) (Rs 93.32 billion), Vodafone India (Rs 78.93 billion), Idea Cellular (Rs 63.06 billion) and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) (Rs 24.16 billion).
- Circle-wise, Maharashtra emerged as the highest revenue grosser with Rs 33.99 billion. It was followed by Andhra Pradesh (Rs 30.98 billion), Delhi (Rs 30.01 billion), Tamil Nadu and Chennai (Rs 30.01 billion) and Karnataka (Rs 29.39 billion).
- The least revenue generating telecom circles were Himachal Pradesh (Rs 3.17 billion), Jammu & Kashmir (Rs 3.61 billion), the Northeast (Rs 3.84 billion), Assam (Rs 6.88 billion) and Odisha (Rs 8.43 billion).
