Performance of various service segments during the quarter ended September 2023
- According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) data, operators generated gross revenues of Rs 638.51 billion during the quarter ended September 2023. This included unified access service licence (UASL), unified licence (UL) and mobile + basic licence holders.
- Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) reported the highest gross revenue of Rs 258.28 billion, followed by Bharti Airtel at Rs 223.57 billion, Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) at Rs 117.07 billion, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) at Rs 33.73 billion and Tata Teleservices Limited at Rs 5.16 billion.
- Circle-wise, Maharashtra reported the highest gross revenue at Rs 54.43 billion, followed by Uttar Pradesh East at Rs 49.14 billion, Andhra Pradesh at Rs 47.53 billion, Tamil Nadu (including Chennai) at Rs 45.89 billion and Delhi at Rs 45.55 billion.
- The least revenue-generating telecom circles were the Northeast (Rs 3.44 billion), Himachal Pradesh (Rs 5.15 billion), Jammu & Kashmir (Rs 7.01 billion), Assam (Rs 13.47 billion) and Haryana (Rs 13.96 billion).
