Bharti Airtel is reportedly in talks with other mobile operators, including Vodafone Essar and Idea Cellular, to form a strategic alliance to offer third generation services on a pan-India level. The alliance, if formed, will allow the operators to have 3G spectrum across all the circles in the country barring Orissa. At present, none of the operators has a pan-India 3 G licence.
