Telecom operators are reportedly planning to write to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) for conducting an online open house discussion related to setting a floor price for tariffs amid the COVID-19 crisis.

As per industry sources, all the operators have come to a consensus that the discussion should be conducted online so that regulations around floor price are out soon.

To this end, Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) is now planning to write a letter to TRAI, after verbally conveying its demand to the sector regulator.

However, TRAI is yet to take the final call, as it wants to be sure about the technology challenges.
