Mobile phone operators are surveying plans to deploy artificial intelligence (AI)-led interventions to address the issues of pesky calls, with some suggesting on expanding the blockchain-based solutions which are used for messages to calling.
The step comes in response to mobile users being hit with a barrage of menacing calls and messages leading to big financial frauds. The AI-based technology aims at recognising the patterns of such spam calls and alerting the respective network providers to take the required action. The patterns may include the frequency of outgoing calls, duration of calls etc.
