According to the president of the Broadband India Forum (BIF), Indian telecom operators and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) reportedly must work with international players to foster technological advancement and deliver greater benefits to the public.
Earlier, in June, BIF informed the government through a letter that telecom operators were trying to block the entry of next-generation satellite services into the Indian market. Further, in July, Starlink received approval from the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe).
Furthermore, he stated that the association is eager to support the government in developing a strong semiconductor ecosystem in the country.
