The government of Telangana has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STTDGC) India to create a cutting-edge data centre campus in Meerkhanpet, Hyderabad.

The agreement, signed by Revanth Reddy, chief minister, Telangana and Sridhar Babu, Telangana minister for IT and Industries, involves an investment of Rs 35 billion for the “AI (artificial intelligence) -ready campus.”

This facility is projected to have a capacity of up to 100 MW, positioning it among the largest data centre projects in India.

Further, STT GDC has ambitious plans for the next decade, aiming for a total design capacity of 1 GW across India and an investment of approximately USD 3.2 billion.
