Tektronix has launched the RSA7100A wideband signal analysis solution that combines 800 MHz of real-time bandwidth with up to two hours of streaming storage at full bandwidth. The instrument has a 16 kHz-26.5 GHz frequency range.

The solution reduces the cost of wideband signal capture, record and analysis while increasing the possibility of capturing wideband signal transients. The instrument can trigger and measure signals of 700 ns duration in the frequency domain in real time while offering signal analysis with the SignalVu-PC RF and vector analysis software.

The RSA7100A allows users to record up to two hours of streaming capture to internal storage at the full 800 MHz bandwidth for applications such as environment recording and long event sequence analysis.

Meanwhile, the DataVu-PC software application helps engineers in finding and marking events of interest hiding within terabytes of stored data. Up to 2,000,000 pulses can be characterised for power, pulse-width, repetition interval and start-stop frequencies. Further, engineers can export measurements in pulse descriptor word format for use with other tools. They can use the DataVu-PC application to save smaller IQ files from within the longer captured ones based on search and mark or manual selection.
