Tejas Networks has named Anand Athreya as the new managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of the company, effective April 3, 2023. The company’s present MD and CEO Sanjay Nayak has decided to seek voluntary retirement from services in order to pursue other personal interests. In a regulatory filing, the company said that Nayak would step down from his role by the next annual general meeting of the company.
Athreya has a combined experience of 25 years in the telecom equipment, networking and software industries. Prior to joining Tejas Networks, he was the executive vice president and chief development officer of Juniper Networks since 2017 and served as senior vice president of the routing business unit for three years.
In addition, the company also approved the appointment of Alice G Vaidyan as non-exeuctive, independent (additional) director, not liable to retire by totation for a period of five years with effect from March 29, 2023, till March 28, 2028.
