Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC), the technical arm of the Department of Telecommunication (DoT), conducted an awareness program at ITI Complex, Begaluru, for micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and start-ups in the telecommunications sector on mandatory testing and certification of telecom equipment (MTCTE), voluntary testing and certifications such as type approvals, interface approval, certificate of approval, technology approval and lab designation by TEC.
As per TEC, this is an initiative for creating awareness among start-ups and MSMEs about various schemes of TEC which will greatly help to realise the government’s vision under the Atmanirbhar Bharat scheme. Testing and certification processes and other new initiatives for start-ups and MSMEs were explained to the participants.
The event saw participants from around 70 start-ups/MSMEs along with officers from the DoT, ITI Limited and Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT).
